Exorcism

Exorcism…. A scary subject. It has driven people insane for centuries … or has it ? I am about to give out a couple of scenarios and hopefully you can see where I am going with this.

Scenario 1:
You get up one day and you come to realize that every news channel on earth, not only in your city but all over the world, is reporting the same exact news, “An extremely dangerous and hungry lion has escaped from a zoo, City: Unknown, Country: unknown, Continent: unknown. Take extreme precaution, you have been warned”. At that point, I can imagine every human being on earth freaking out; people might even lock themselves at home until they hear more precise news.

Scenario 2:
Same news being reported on all news channels across the world, but this time, we know that the escapee lion is in North America, within the United States of America, the state of Massachusetts, and the city of Boston to be more precise. At this rate, we will see people panicking, but it will be more contained within the borders of Boston, whereas everyone else across the globe will pursue their everyday normal activity without almost any fear of being devoured by the Lion.

I hope those two scenarios have somewhat paved the way to my following discussion.

drawn by Jeff York, Horror Movie Examiner

We sometimes hear that a person, child or adult, male or female has been possessed. Isn’t it more like my second scenario, whereby now not only do you know the exact city the devil is in, but also the exact body he has decided to limit himself within? Usually when this happens, somehow they tie down the body too.

Now, think of the remaining 6,999,999,999 people on earth. They can go on living their normal life with no fear what-so-ever of Satan. They know where he is? They know he’s tied down? All they have to do is simply keep him there, and one way or another show gratitude to the possessed person by saying “Thank you for taking one for the team”.
From a business perspective, I am not sure why Satan would go about doing the possession thing? Instead of sticking to my first scenario, instilling fear in all 7 billion people, why would he limit himself within one body? And even when he is exorcised out of it, the previously possessed person will also turn against him for misusing his or her body and might even sue him.

Something to think about…

P.S: Needless to say, this article is not based on research, it is intended purely for humor.

The Gerson Therapy – The Body’s Healing Power

I love watching documentaries. They open your eyes to new ideas and concepts to explore.

One thing I have stumbled across is ‘The Gerson Therapy’. It was referenced in a few documentaries* I watched and I was mesmerized with the concept and remedy.

I am not going to go through a historical anecdote of the therapy and all that. I am going to discuss the therapy itself.

If you suffer from any kind of cancer, chronic degenerative diseases or illness, be it the common cold to the most deadly and untreatable of all diseases, ‘The Gerson Therapy’ seems to be able to fight it all and actually CURE and HEAL you and not the symptoms.

I enjoy visualizing ‘the Gerson therapy’ as a comic superhero like no other. She would be invincible and ready to save the day all the time 24/7. Why she? Because the therapy is so holistic and derived from Mother Nature that it is no doubt a she healer. “The She Healer” would be her name 🙂

Anyway to get back on track…. The Gerson Therapy believes that the body has an amazing ability to heal itself. The body is normally organized in order to heal. If you cut or burn yourself in the kitchen while preparing food your wounds will eventually heal. If you break your leg, your body will eventually repair the damage and heal. It is our built in “Natural Healing Mechanism” (and you thought that cars only have built in features!). Thus the only thing you have to do when or if you ever get sick is to restore and rebuild the bodies healing mechanism which is being suppressed and damaged by all the waste, pesticides, preservatives, damaged and processed foods, and additives that are in the poisonous food we are consuming. So, all you have to do is the following (note: therapy is modified depending on the illness you suffer from. I am not an expert on the subject so if you are sick please do your own research, check out the institute, and follow their recommendations):

I-     Juicing: Fresh juices are so helpful and powerful for the body. Fresh organic nutrients are the only thing that the body needs to work on. The human body is not designed to work on pasta, fries and steak which have no vitamins, mineral and nutrition. Even vegetarians who are adding salad dressings and are eating damaged vegetables and fruits that are exposed to pesticides and fungicides are not nourishing their systems but are poisoning it. So the solution to nourish your body is fresh organic produce. In order to provide your cells with fresh living nutrients they can absorb and utilize quickly to keep our defenses going, juices are the key. Removing the fiber and only drinking the juice will allow us to get more nutrients and vitamins in our system. Here are the juices you are to have on daily basis:

  1. One fresh organic orange juice for breakfast (vitamin C)
  2. Green juice: green lettuce, chard, green pepper, red cabbage put together with an apple (which has pectin in it that makes it highly digestible)
  3. Apple and Carrot mix juice: biochemists and doctors found that the acid of the apple that are ground influence the carrots to release minerals. Thus, the combination gives the best release of minerals.
  4. Carrot only Juice: served with liver capsules which produces Vitamin A (good for cancer treatment)

(The therapy prohibits the drinking of water. The juices are served every hour, thus the system is highly hydrated.)

II-     Coffee Enemas: Drinking coffee is prohibited in the Gerson therapy. But coffee used in enema gives the body a totally difference effect. It cleanses the liver and helps it restore its function.

III-     Have full vegetarian meals with fiber in them. Meals consisting of fresh organic vegetables and fruits. Use of flax seed oil is allowed. No Salt to be used. Go crazy with recipes.

IV-     Meditation helps heal and restore balance to our systems.

What about protein?

The biggest strongest land animals are elephants, bulls and gorillas. They are vegetarian. Very often the vegetarian animals are bigger, stronger and healthier than the meat eaters.

This reminds me of a scene from the animated move “Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs” where the tiger chasing a dear looses his breath after a few seconds but the dear keeps running and running.

The vegetarian diet is rich in proteins. The most complete protein is in carrots and carrot juice. If you feed a new born nothing but carrot juice they are perfectly normal and develop healthy. Carrots have almost the same amount of protein as mothers’ milk and it has all the other things that babies need: calcium, magnesium, manganese etc. You also get proteins in potatoes, oatmeal, and in all other vegetables.

The therapy is not an easy one to adopt especially with the lifestyles we have gotten accustomed to. From the daily takeouts to the social events that always include something to nibble on and drink. But at the end of the day health is the most important element of our life. When you are unhealthy you are unable to lead a normal life. You are always sick and tired and sad. We owe it to ourselves to start adopting some healthy choices. Maybe buy a juicer and start trying the juices that are mentioned above. If we see any improvement in our health, maybe we can cut back on animal products, additives and preservatives. Then maybe we can start doing the coffee enemas to help our liver rid itself from all the toxins we are consuming.

It is funny how our priorities are distorted. We spend so much money on our outer appearances (which is not a bad thing at all), but we tend to go cheap when it comes to buying healthy products for our system.

Consider showing off your healthy body and healthy system. Boast about your health and well being. Please read more about the subject. You never know when you may need the therapy or a slap in the face and a wake up call to adopt a healthier lifestyle just to stay alive. Don’t wait until you are in desperate need. Don’t wait until you get sick. Act now.

Take care of yourself. You have the potential to cure yourself.

The Unfortunate Genius

Wheel of Fortune

How many geniuses do you know? How many of them are successful?

I am in the midst of reading a book written by Malcolm Gladwell titled “Outliers”. It tries to reshape our understanding of success and successful people. I am still halfway through the book and I can say Gladwell is enlightening and thought provoking. His inventive theories are logical and delightful.

What do you think Bill Gates and the Beatles have in common?

In a nutshell, the answer is practice. The saying “practice makes perfect” is revised and well defined. In order to be good at anything you have to do it almost 10,000 hours. It is the 10,000 hour rule. Mozart practiced over 10,000 hours before producing his masterwork of a concerto that contains his own original pieces at the age of 21. Before the Beatles hit stardom they were performing at strip-clubs in Germany. They used to perform for 8 consecutive hours, 7 days a week, for a whole year. I am not such a math wiz but looking at the calculations they got to practice 2,950 times in one year. It took them 10 years to be famous. So around 29,500 hours in 10 years. They exceeded the 10,000 hour rule and voila they became famous.

Talent does definitely play a role too in success. I am not going to argue that.

So the formula so far is practice + talent.

The third and last piece of the formula to success is Luck. How lucky are you?

Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and other successful individuals were lucky as lucky can be. You would think that some invisible force is disregardful to all of us 7 billion people on earth and focusing on gearing these lucky people toward good and better opportunity.

Let us examine this simple anecdote of Bill Gates life. His family was well to do. They enrolled him in a private school. That school club raised money and decided to get the most up to date computer of that time. He got the chance at a very young age to practice programming and work on the computer for hours on end. By the time he was at university he exceeded 10,000 hours of practice. Mind you that was in the 60’s when computers where expensive and not that very available. Thus he had the upper hand and practice. He had talent. And to top it all, he had a series of fortunate events.

On the other end of the spectrum we have the smartest man in the world, Chris Langan. His IQ is the highest recorded. Langan’s IQ is 195 compared to Albert Einsteins IQ of 150 . Yet this poor man is jinxed. He grew up in poverty. His stepfather used to beat him up. When he went to college his mother forgot to fill out the scholarship renewal forms so he was expelled. The universities he went to were disregardful to his genius nature. He dropped out. He lives in Montana and has worked in construction and as a bouncer at clubs throughout his life. This is the smartest person in the world… Now that is food for thought. He taught himself and has come up with a theory on the universe called “Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe”. I tired reading through it but to no avail… The sad thing about his theory is that it will never be published or peer reviewed because at the end of the day it is written by someone who does not have credential and a degree.

Finally, to sum things up; the formula to success is practice+ a dash of talent + a tub full of opportunity and luck.

For all the people out there dreaming of success I wish you Good luck.
